You can apply for financing from Piraeus Bank to purchase a property on properties4sale.gr. You can find information below on the basic terms and application process for a loan or contact our loan team at (+30) 210 38 98 850 or loan@properties4sale.gr.

You can then apply for a financing approval before the start of an auction and we will contact you on the telephone number you provided on registration.

1. Basic financing terms for natural persons

Basic financing terms for natural persons
Interest rate: 1 month euribor + margin 3.00% + Law 128/75 accrual
(0.12% for residential and 0.60% for commercial use properties)
Term: Up to 30 years
Highest funding %: For Greek nationals:
70% of purchase price or Buy now price (whichever is the lowest)

For Foreign residents:
50% of purchase price or Buy now price (whichever is the lowest)
Application Review Fee: €350 payable before the loan distribution
Insurance: Fire & Earthquake insurance
Life & Disability insurance

2. Financing terms for legal entities

You can receive detailed information on the financing terms from any branch of Piraeus Bank.

3. Application process

Visit any Piraeus Bank branch with the property code and the Mandatory Proof of Income documentation (see below) to apply for a loan.

Note that the application process needs to be performed in person at any Piraeus Bank branch office in Greece (including in the case of foreign residents). It is not possible to apply for a loan remotely.

Piraeus Bank will review you application and respond within 3 business days.

After your application is approved, you will be informed by the branch on the next steps to complete the loan.

4. Mandatory Proof of Income Documentation

  1. Greek identification card or valid passport
  2. Proof of income as below:

    For employees / retirees resident in Greece:

    • Last year's tax return
    • Last year's Income tax return (E1 form)
    • For employees, last pay slip or official salary confirmation from your employer
    • For retirees, pension payment slip for the last quarter

    For self-employed / business owners resident in Greece:

    • Tax return of the last 2 years
    • Last year's Income tax return (E1 form)
    • Accounts or other statements which prove business turnover for the last 2 years (eg. form E3, or N)

    For foreign residents:

    • The documents above translated by an Embassy / Consulate in Greek or English
    • Credit report to include information on outstanding bank debt. Please obtain a credit report if you are a resident of the U.S., U.K., Germany or Bulgaria. For example in the U.S., such report can be obtained from Experian (www.experian.com) & Trans Union (www.transunion.com). For residents of the U.K., Germany and Bulgaria the Bank will perform the credit check following the applicant’s consent requested by the branch during the application process.

    Note that the income of the applicant must be earned in Euros to match the currency of the loan. Otherwise a loan will require depositing cash collateral in Euros, and will follow the Bank's pricing policy.
